A/P Abelardo Pardo, Dr Sheridan Gentili and Lisa Lim trialled the OnTask tool in their ALASI2017 workshop titled ‘Providing data-driven personalised support for students in large courses’
The attendees tried the tool in a hypothetical learning experience. They used a synthetic dataset to explore which personalised messages would apply, and how to capture that personalisation with conditions and actions in OnTask. At the end of the sessions attendees shared their resulting actions and the rationale behind them.
Overall the audience considered the tool useful and providing support for a task that is not currently properly addressed by existing technology.
