The OnTask team facilitated the workshop “Connecting data with student feedback in a course” as part of the 2018 edition of the Australian Learning Analytics Summer Institute. The session was attended by 30 researchers and practitioners that explored the use of OnTask to manage data sets and combined data obtained from the LMS with surveys answered by the learners to then create personalized messages.
The audience pointed to various features in OnTask that can be used to enhance the integration of the tool in an institutional setting such as the use of the API to pre-populate data. They also suggested the deployment of support from academic developers to point to the best way for course coordinators to use this framework.
