Dr Simon McIntyre was invited to present at the Unlocking the Futures of Higher Education Conference King’s Online, King’s College London in April.
Simon outlined the long term vision for using learning analytics at the UNSW Art & Design campus using Ontask in his talk entitled ‘A strategy for synthesising curriculum, peer learning communities, and data analytics in an undergraduate design program’
The conference was attended by delegates from the universities of the PLuS Alliance – UNSW Sydney, Arizona State University, and King’s College London. The ideas were received well and there was a lively Q&A session afterwards around equity of such a data driven learning model and the ethics of using data in this way.
